Paramedics Plus has been the exclusive 911 emergency and non-emergency provider for the Southeast Collin County Coalition since 1998. The system has evolved over time and since 2003 Paramedics Plus has partnered with the Wylie Fire Department to run and operate the system. Thinking outside the box, Wylie Fire Department and Paramedics Plus formed a new system design which moved the Paramedics Plus paramedics and EMTs into the Wylie fire stations, wearing Wylie Fire Department uniforms, and operating ambulances designed as Wylie Fire Department vehicles. Paramedics Plus provides the primary 911 paramedic response with the Wylie Fire Department providing backup paramedic response to the coalition. Paramedics Plus also provides the medical direction, continuing education and EMS billing with the Wylie Fire Department as well as providing day-to-day oversite, 911 dispatch and overall scene management. This partnership provides the best of both the fire service and private EMS creating a clinically sophisticated system with rapid response times while maintaining a cost-effective EMS system for the Southeast County Coalition.
Paramedics Plus is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS). Our experienced team of paramedics provides communities with the best care and hold certifications in:
- Basic Life Support – Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
Our state-of-the-art ambulances are equipped with Lifepak 15 cardiac monitors with 12-lead capability, Stryker power stretchers, laptops for patient care documentation and reporting, and a driver monitoring and feedback system.
