Since May, 2015, Paramedics Plus (a subsidiary of PatientCare Logistics Solutions) has been proud to serve 183,000 people in Sioux Falls as its exclusive 9-1-1 ambulance provider as contracted by the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA).
Paramedics Plus- Sioux Falls is responsible for serving the primary response area of the city which is 73-square-miles. Our workforce of about 80 employees collaborates with six fire departments to serve the City of Sioux Falls 183,200 residents, responding to over 17,000 emergency requests per year and transporting approximately 12,000 patients.

Our experienced team of paramedics provides communities with top-notch care and holds certification in:
- Basic Life Support- Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
The 12 ambulances serving the system are equipped with Lifepak 15 ECG devices with 12-lead transmission capability, Stryker Power Stretchers, Panasonic Tough Book patient care reporting devices along with state of the art dispatching software, and a driver monitoring and feedback system.
Metro Communication’s Accredited Center of Excellence (ACE) provides all of the dispatch services with their EMD certified and ‘System Status Management’ trained staff. This deployment system is based on historical data that indicates when emergency calls occur and how frequently throughout the city.
